All Star Selections Process for Bollinger Canyon Little League
1) Managers from divisions AA - Majors email the Player Agent ([email protected]) & President ([email protected]) a list of players they believe would represent Bollinger Canyon Little League in Districts. Selections should be based on overall performance, baseball IQ, and ability to handle the pressure.
Note: Selections are NOT based on stats in GameChanger, they are only used as a guideline if needed.
2) Player Agent/President sends the names selected to all managers (per division) for them to rank from 1-25. The average from each manager’s rankings of each player forms the top 8 players from each division.
3) Managers that have a son/daughter in the Top 8 have the right to be selected as manager for districts, if no manager with a son/daughter in the Top 8 wants to manage or doesn’t have the skills to manage, it then would go to managers that offer up their name and would go before a selection committee.
4) All Managers interested must go before a Selection Committee; the Selection Committee has the final say on Manager Selections.
Note: Selection Committees for each division will not include any members that have a child or manager in that division.
5) If selected, Managers meet with the Player Selection Committee. The players selected for the team should come from the original selection from managers rankings (Top 8). If a manager believes there is a player they need beyond the top 8 (pitcher, catcher, utility player, etc.), the player would need to be approved by the Player Selection Committee before they can be added to the team.
6) As a League we are League Age Pure for Ages 9U, 10U, and 11U. Only 12U may call a player from the lower divisions if deemed it will improve our flagship team that is trying to compete for a trip to Williamsport for the Little League World Series.
7) All Summer Volunteer Fees must be paid before the first practice begins, and players must commit to the full season. There will be no refunds to a player who is removed for not fulfilling their commitment once they pay their fees.
